During clinical internships, a PT student should be identified as a Physical Therapy Student or Intern. This is because they are actively learning and gaining experience in the field of physical therapy, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. They are not yet a licensed physical therapist, or a physical therapy assistant, as they are still in training. Similarly, identifying them as a Physical Therapy Licensee would also be incorrect as they have not yet obtained their license. A Physical Therapy Observer would also not be accurate as they are not simply observing, but actively participating and performing hands-on tasks under supervision.
